Weekend Mug Making

CA$95.00

Join us for some morning mug making!

In this workshop you will learn both pinch pot and coil building techniques in order to make your dream mug. This workshop is beginner friendly :-)

The first half of the class will be focused on making your mugs & then painting/decorating towards the end of the session. We will be using an off-white clay (example in photos above), so you’re also welcome to leave them with the natural clay colour shining through.

After the workshop, once everything is completely dry, your creations will be bisque fired in the kiln, then dipped in a clear glaze, and fired again.

Mugs will be available for pickup in 3-4 weeks - you will be notified via email when they are ready.

Date: Saturday November 23 @ 10 AM / Sunday November 24 @ 3 PM

Location: Field Kit Studio - 323 10 Ave SW Unit 408

Important notes on accessibility/scents:

As the Field Kit Studio is located on the 4th floor of an older building, stairs are required to access the space. There is a loading elevator available (with 4 steps needed to access it), please let us know ahead of time if you require assistance and we'll be happy to help! :-)

The Studio is also primarily used for candle making & workshops - if you are highly sensitive to scents / have scent allergies please consider this before purchasing tickets.

Length: approx. 2-2.5 hours

Workshop includes:

  • All materials needed to create your own unique mug

  • All instruction / guidance needed to create your pieces

  • Light sips & snacks

✳ Due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics (especially during the drying & kiln firing process), pieces made in class have the potential to crack, break, blister or explode. I will do my best to ensure your work survives the firing, but will not be held responsible for undesired results

✳ All workshop tickets are non-refundable. Should you need to cancel for any reason, please email fromtreetosea@gmail.com 72 hours before the event to make any necessary changes. Any changes within 72 hours of the workshop are not guaranteed.
